Dead bodies on the street, photographed from a car. The maker of the photograph cannot be revealed. Victims are mostly kidnapped and then murdered. Bodies are thrown on the street as warning or terror. Some militias prohibit family members to pick up the dead bodies. Sometimes it proves be a booby trap.

The Magnum Workshop Brighton is a five-day practical course intended for advanced photographers wishing to proceed with the next stage of their photographic careers. Led by three Magnum photographers Carl De Keyzer, Mark Power and Donovan Wylie this workshop is an exciting opportunity to build a body of work with a street photography/documentary theme. Participants will be selected by the lead photographers on the basis of online submitted portfolios and the event will culminate in the production of a singular, unique book.

This workshop is organised in collaboration with Brighton Photo Biennial.
